Awakening the Mangekyo
The Mangekyo Sharingan is a special form of the Sharingan available to members of the Uchiha clan. To awaken it, one must fulfill a series of hidden conditions and complete a unique questline related to the clan's history.
Awakening Conditions
To begin the awakening process, the following conditions must be met:
Awaken the 3-Tomoe Sharingan. The player must possess the maximum base form of the Sharingan.
Reach the rank of Chunin. Awakening is not available to players with the Genin rank.
Complete the main storyline of the Hidden Leaf Village.
Complete the "Bonds of Brotherhood" questline.
THE PATH OF AWAKENING
After completing the "Bonds of Brotherhood" questline, the player must head to the clan district and speak with the Elder. After the conversation, they will need to find Mogumi Uchiha nearby.
Mogumi will offer the player a choice between two brothers whose story was shown during the "Bonds of Brotherhood" questline. Depending on the chosen side, the player receives a separate questline telling the story of the chosen Uchiha's fate after the battle at the Uchiha Shrine.
Upon completing the respective questline, the player gains access to the Uchiha Stone Tablet located beneath the Naka Shrine.

The tablet contains text that cannot be read through normal means.
To reveal its contents, you must activate the Sharingan and look at the tablet. Without an activated Sharingan, the player will only see strange symbols instead of text.
However, reading the tablet is not the final stage of the awakening.

For the final awakening of the Mangekyo Sharingan, the player must kill 10 players belonging to the Uchiha clan.
Once this condition is met, the Mangekyo will be fully awakened.
Unique Mangekyo Abilities
Each Mangekyo Sharingan possesses its own set of unique abilities. The ability obtained depends on the specific Mangekyo variant.
