Artifact Upgrading is an item enhancement system that includes quality and refinement. All actions are performed through the interface: Inventory → Right-click on artifact → Upgrade.
Quality
Every artifact receives a random quality from 0% to 100% upon acquisition, which directly affects its base stats: the higher the value, the stronger the final stats. Quality can be changed using a Quality Sphere, which rerolls the value randomly upon use.
Refinement
Artifacts can be upgraded up to +15 level, consistently increasing their stats. The final effectiveness of an artifact is made up of its quality and refinement level, so maximum power is achieved through a combination of high quality percentage and full refinement.
Special energy-containing items are used for refinement, such as Chakra Scroll, Chakra Crystal, Hashirama Cells, Artifact Shards, and others
